TRIbuild Solutions are working with a well-established M&E contractor based in Thurrock, delivering high-quality building services solutions across residential and commercial sectors. Due to sustained project growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in upcoming developments.

About the Role:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of mechanical building services systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, etc.) for a variety of residential and commercial projects. Working closely with our in-house delivery teams and external consultants, you’ll ensure designs are compliant, cost-effective, and meet client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and develop detailed mechanical design drawings and specifications

• Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and site teams

• Attend project and design meetings as required

• Conduct site surveys and inspections

• Ensure compliance with current building regulations and industry standards

• Support procurement and delivery teams with technical guidance

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical building services design

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (preferred)

• Strong understanding of M&E coordination

• Experience working on both residential and commercial projects

• Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IES)

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects
