Job Title: Estimator – Civils & Rail Infrastructure

Rate: £400-£500/day

TRIbuild Solutions are working with a well-established main contractor delivering high-profile rail and civil engineering projects across the UK and the South East. We’re recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team on a contract basis.
This is a key support role, assisting with estimating and tendering activities across a wide range of infrastructure schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and pricing documents

  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather accurate quotations

  • Support commercial, engineering, and planning teams during the tender process

  • Carry out risk and value analysis to support pricing strategy

  • Ensure timely and accurate input into ongoing tenders

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in civil engineering and/or rail projects

  • Familiarity with tendering processes and bid submissions

  • Knowledge of Network Rail standards and procedures beneficial

  • Skilled in estimating tools such as Causeway, Candy, or equivalent

  • Strong commercial understanding and attention to detail

  • Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Details:

  • Contract: 6-12 months

  • Rate: £400-£500/day (dependent on experience)

  • Location: Farringdon, London (office-based, with some flexibility)
