ICT Support Technician – Swindon
Salary: £35,000 + benefits

I’m working with a well-established construction and infrastructure business that’s looking to appoint an ICT Support Technician to join their Swindon-based team.

You’ll be part of a close-knit internal IT function supporting end users across the UK, providing first- and second-line technical support on hardware, software, and systems. This role would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, variety in their day, and working with a broad range of users across both office and site environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for all ICT queries, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively.

  • Install, configure, and maintain PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

  • Support user account management, permissions, and security in line with company systems and processes.

  • Assist with hardware and software upgrades, patching, and roll-outs.

  • Liaise with third-party suppliers where required and maintain accurate asset records.

  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process for new starters and leavers.

What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience in an ICT Support or Helpdesk role (1st/2nd line).

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.

  • Confident troubleshooting hardware, networking, and connectivity issues.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills – approachable and proactive.
