Shuttering Carpenter / Shuttering Carpenter’s Labourer

Location: Waltham Cross
Start date: Tomorrow / ASAP
Working hours: 8:00am-5:00pm with a one-hour break
Hours paid: 9.5 hours per day
Rate: Negotiable

We are currently looking for an experienced Shuttering Carpenter and a Shuttering Carpenter’s Labourer/Helper for a project in Waltham Cross.

The work will primarily involve constructing formwork for retaining walls, stop ends and two-sided walls.

Shuttering Carpenter duties

• Constructing formwork for retaining walls
• Forming stop ends and two-sided walls
• Reading and working from technical drawings
• Preparing shutters for concrete pours
• Striking and dismantling formwork
• Ensuring work is completed safely and accurately

Labourer/Helper duties

• Assisting the Shuttering Carpenter with formwork
• Preparing and moving tools and materials
• Helping to assemble and dismantle shutters
• Keeping the work area clean and safe
• Completing general site duties when required

Requirements

• Valid CSCS card
• Previous shuttering or formwork experience
• Experience with retaining walls, stop ends and two-sided walls preferred
• Full PPE
• Relevant references
• Available to start immediately

The rate is negotiable depending on experience and the position applied for.
