Junior Fit Out Estimator

About the role:

TRIbuild Solutions are currently seeking a Junior Fitout Estimator to join the Commercial team and support our fit out clients ongoing expansion. The ideal candidate should be driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure while also contributing positively within a close-knit team.

Although experience in the construction industry is beneficial, it is not essential, as full training will be provided to help the right candidate excel.

The role requires attendance at external site visits with Clients, Suppliers, and Subcontractors, where the candidate will need to project a professional image and have the confidence to clarify bids with clients.

Strong computer skills are essential, as is the ability to understand timelines and meet department targets efficiently.

The candidate will work alongside the Fitout Estimator and the wider team, responsible for producing compliant quotations based on Tender information provided.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to create comprehensive estimates.
  • Identify new tender opportunities, create job numbers, and maintain the estimate log.
  • Perform accurate take-offs from drawings, including materials and labor.
  • Manage the approved suppliers list.
  • Attend site/tender walkthroughs to compare drawings and identify proactive solutions to potential site issues.
  • Understand the planning and sequencing involved in construction projects.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for bids.
  • Participate in site reviews, tender reviews, handovers, and project closeout meetings as required.
  • Support the Fitout Estimator as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and other relevant computer programs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license with the ability to attend site/tender walkthroughs across the UK.
