Senior Planner – Major Infrastructure Project (New Cross, London)

TRIbuild Solutions are currently supporting a major infrastructure delivery team in their search for an experienced Senior Planner to join a high-profile civils project based in New Cross, London.

This is a key position within the project controls function, supporting programme development, progress reporting and schedule performance across complex construction works.

Role Overview

As Senior Planner, you will assist with the planning and scheduling function on site, ensuring robust programme control and accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work closely with package managers, site teams and senior leadership to maintain programme integrity, identify risks, and support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and update detailed construction programmes

• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and report performance

• Produce weekly and monthly progress reporting, dashboards and lookaheads

• Identify programme risks, delays and mitigation strategies

• Support planning input into compensation events and change control

• Liaise with subcontractors and integrate package-level programmes

• Provide planning support to delivery teams and key stakeholders

• Ensure planning processes align with contractual and project requirements

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in planning on major civils or infrastructure projects

• Competent user of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project

• Understanding of NEC contract environments and programme compliance

• Excellent communication skills with site and senior management teams

• Ability to work full-time on a live project environment

Salary & Package

• £70,000 – £80,000 basic salary (strictly)

• Full package including car or car allowance + benefits

Location & Working Pattern

• Site based in New Cross, London

• 5 days per week on site (no hybrid working available)
