Site Engineer – Clean Water Mains Replacement
Mid Sussex & Hampshire | Full-time | Civil Engineering / Utilities

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of clean water mains replacement projects across Mid Sussex and Hampshire. This role will play a vital part in ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient engineering delivery on essential infrastructure schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day site engineering operations on clean water mains replacement projects

• Set out works in accordance with construction drawings and specifications

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures

• Work closely with delivery teams and subcontractors to maintain programme and quality standards

• Maintain records of site activities, including materials used, progress, and as-built data

• Liaise with the design and pre-construction teams to resolve any technical queries

• Contribute to the preparation and implementation of method statements and risk assessments

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working on clean water or utilities infrastructure projects

• HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

• Strong understanding of setting out, site surveying, and QA procedures

• Working knowledge of HSE regulations and CDM

• Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

• CSCS card and a full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Experience with clean water infrastructure, including pipe laying, mains diversion, and reinstatement

• Temporary works or confined space training
