Temporary Works Coordinator – Civil Engineering

I’m working with a contractor delivering a technically complex infrastructure scheme in East London. They’re looking to appoint a Temporary Works Coordinator to oversee the safe and effective delivery of temporary works solutions on a technically complex utilities and rail project.

This role would suit someone confident working across both site and design phases, with a solid understanding of technical approval processes and a proactive approach to problem-solving. There’s strong internal support, and the business promotes from within, making this a great opportunity for long-term development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and manage temporary works design briefs
  • Coordinate with design teams, site staff, and external specialists
  • Ensure all designs are compliant with CDM and safety requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and value-engineered solutions where required
  • Oversee the implementation and coordination of temporary works on-site
  • Liaise with third parties and support with technical approvals

What I’m Looking For:

  • HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Temporary Works Coordinator
  • CSCS card
  • Experience working on both site and design side
  • Knowledge of technical approvals for TFL, DLR, and Network Rail
  • Familiarity with Autodesk, Bluebeam, and Bentley 3D software
  • Previous experience in deep drainage, lifting ops, and structural works
